Biographical Information: John Manderfeld, president of Marin Management in Sausalito, has nearly 30 years experience in the lodging industry. His career includes 11 years in food-and-beverage operations as well as sales with Westin Hotels and Resorts. He previously served as Vice President for two major hotel development and management companies in Dallas: Metro Hotels, Inc. and Mariner Corporation. Manderfeld holds the Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) designation and is recognized by the Educational Institute of the American Hotel & Lodging Association. He is a public speaker and has presented seminars for the most prominent trade associations in the lodging industry. He is also a trainer and technical author, having developed numerous training programs and procedural manuals.
